WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
At an On Course I Workshop, you'll learn proven learner-centered
strategies for empowering
students to become active,
responsible learners! You can even earn 3 Graduate Credits by
enrolling in an on-line graduate course offered as a follow-up to the workshop.
Now in its thirteenth year, this highly
interactive workshop is designed to inform, inspire, and rejuvenate college and
university educators across the curriculum. To read what past participants say about this powerful professional
development event, click Testimonials.
After the workshop, you'll return to your campus with dozens of
learner-centered strategies for helping your students succeed in college and in life. These
strategies represent best practices from innovators in higher education,
psychology, business, sports, and personal effectiveness. You'll also learn how to use the
Seven Domains of Influence available to educators for
providing true learner-centered educational experiences.
On Course strategies appeal to a variety of learning styles,
and they motivate students to
take greater responsibility for their education and their lives. Not surprisingly, the strategies you'll learn in this workshop have
shown to have a
positive impact on student academic success and retention. Click Data to read
compelling results reported by some of the colleges and universities using the On Course text and instructional strategies.
