On Course – Mass Communications

MASS COMMUNICATIONS

Back to Table of Contents for the On Course I Workshop

1. Strategy: Wise Choice Process

Application: Videography Theory and Lab

Educator: Stuart Serediuk, Radio and Television Faculty, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, CN

Implementation: In the application of videography theory, budding photojournalists/videographers are faced with many situations that can be very challenging. These challenges can range from dealing with difficult and non-cooperative people, to situational issues, to equipment issues.  The application of the wise choice methodology provides the student with a road map or guideline on how to deal with any issue that is being a barrier to their success. Have students share or invent challenges faced by photojournalists/videographers and practice coaching each other to overcome the challenge by using the WCP.
