1. Strategy: Silent Socratic Dialogue

Implementation: Introduce a philosophical topic (e.g., personal identity). Ask students to write down a particular belief they have regarding the topic. After a few minutes, have students exchange their papers with their belief on it. Then have the other student ask a thought-provoking question regarding the belief. Repeat this process as often as you like until students have reflected adequately on the topic and on their own beliefs and the questions that come from those beliefs.
