Testimonial Color

I found the On Course Renewal Workshop a superior active learning experience to jump start the semester with energy, renewed and innovative ideas, and a purposeful time to collaborate/share with colleagues. This workshop was a solid example in lifelong learning, self-motivation, employing interdependence and getting on course for fall.–Mary C. Belknap,
Early Childhood & Teacher Education, Jackson College, MI

It is engaging. Hearing the way in which the more experienced instructors have utilized the strategies and student’s responses, encourages me. It was excellent.–Doug Jones, FYS instructor, Jackson Community College, MI

What I liked best…Getting to move around to discuss ideas with multiple participants varied perspectives and areas and amounts of expertise!!–Joy Walters, FYS, Jackson Community College, MI

This was very good and worthwhile. More of a Retreat than a review atmosphere. Everyone had only very positive things to say, and many take-a ways–John Knevel, FYS lead, Jackson Community College, MI

The one-day On Course Renewal is a wonderful way of applying the three principles of active learning–prior knowledge, quality of processing and quantity of processing–in our development as instructors……I have to think that other colleges that have offered On Course I would be interested in an On Course Renewal for their faculty and staff.–Dr. Ted Miller, Foundation Studies, Jackson Community College, MI
